Guide Manager and Guide Course Coordinator

After studying Tourism Management and Economics, I spent nine years travelling the world on an “extended gap year” which turned into an unprecedented career path, as a Resort & Country Manager for tour operators Hotelplan and Kuoni. After working as both a dive guide and ski guide, and teaching English in Bergen, I returned home to beautiful Devon to continue working in the  world of EFL, teaching, training and marketing to overseas students, teachers and business clients. My work involved extensive travel with worldwide marketing trips including the Far East and Latin America, and after a hectic 2 years based in Central London, my boyfriend  (Norwegian of course!) persuaded me to return to The Rainy City (Bergen).  We’re now married with a 2 year old daughter and another baby due in February 2011.  I’ve been working at Norwegian Guide Service since January 2007 but travel and conservation work/ animals remain big passions.
